Ms. Merry has been educating people about the solar industry since 2001, when she first organized a group of homeowners to install PV systems as a group in Davis, CA. Since 2006 Ms.Merry has taught more than 2,800 students about the solar industry through course sponsors such as: Solar Energy International, Solar Power International, Renewable Energy World, Solar Living Institute, UC Berkeley Extension, Pacific Energy Center, and many others.

Valley Energy Efficiency Corp., Marketing Director 2002-2004
Ran energy efficiency program for the City of Davis and Yolo County, funded under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission. Set up reporting system for $1.7 million grant and related contracts with PG&E. Managed all aspects of energy efficiency marketing and education campaign, including $150,000 annual marketing budget and eight canvassing staff members.

California Wild Heritage Campaign, Strategic Analyst 2000-2001
Designed statewide database to manage campaign progress for hundreds of proposed wilderness and wild rivers. Wrote successful grant proposals for $940,000. Led team effort to create database to inventory of wilderness data submitted by hundreds of volunteers.

California Wilderness Coalition, Conference Coordinator   1999-2000
Managed all aspects of the California Wilderness Conference, which hosted 1,000 attendees. The conference exceeded all expectations and set the standard of excellence for similar events throughout the western U.S.

California Duck Days, Coordinator 1995-1999
During my term as Coordinator the event grew from 300 to 1,200 attendees, won several regional awards, and the budget grew from $15,000 to $45,000. Managed part-time administrative staff and 80 volunteers; created successful PR campaign and developed Business Sponsor program.

Yolo Basin Foundation, Education Coordinator 1997-1998
Designed and implemented first K-12 environmental education program for the Yolo Basin Wildlife Area. Coordinated production of training manual and teacher trainings.
